DESIGN MODELS

DESIGN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF MODELLING

Beginners and Advanced ramp and photographic models from the Lowveld region of Mpumalanga in South Africa are invited to join our modelling school classes in Nelspruit.

THE DESIGN MISSION

WE TRAIN MODELS ACCORDING TO ACCEPTED INTERNATIONAL NORMS AND STANDARDS, UTILIZING THE LATEST THEORY, TECHNIQUES AND PRACTICES. 

WE BELIEVE THAT TRUE BEAUTY COMES FROM WITHIN AND THEREFORE STRIVE TO DEVELOP AN ACCEPTANCE WITH EACH MODEL FOR THE SPECIAL PERSON THAT HE/SHE IS.

WE PROVIDE OUR MODELS WITH THE SKILLS REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL, ENHANCING THE QUALITIES OF EACH MODEL, WITHOUT ALTERING THE UNIQUENESS OF EACH INDIVIDUAL

WE BELIEVE IN HIGH MORAL AND ETHICAL STANDARDS, AND WILL THEREFORE NOT EXPOSE OUR MODELS TO QUESTIONABLE PRACTICES AND, OR INFLUENCES.

TRAINING PROVIDED TO ALL MODELS WILL BE EQUAL, REGARDLESS OR RACE, AGE, OR GENDER.

 

 

BRIEF OVERVIEW OF COURSE CONTENT AND OPTIONS

	Ages : 8 to 24

Beginners course		Advanced course
Beginners:  12 months Classes are presented as blocks of 1 to 4 hours each, scheduled mostly over weekends and some weekday evenings - to a total of 40 hours of class. Beginners course content covers "finishing school" (AKA deportment), Ramp modelling, Acting in front of the camera, as well as Photographic modelling. There are no extra costs for your portfolio shoot - it is covered by the course fees.  Advanced and Specialist courses are presented in the format of practical ramp and photographic sessions for which models participate in themed assignments. These are on-going fun-filled events hosted once a month on an ongoing basis. This is the ideal way for building a top quality portfolio containing great variety, and to stay active in the industry. Design Models students are automatically signed up for invitations to castings, fashion shows, promotions and photographic modelling opportunities. We have no minimum length requirements. Portraiture and portfolio rates and options:

Studio portraiture of individuals, couples or families - R450 for 20 pictures on CD

Mini portfolio for models - in the studio, three looks - R750 for 60 pictures on CD

Full model portfolio, studio and outdoor locations. This is a 5 to 6 hour shoot of ca. 150 pictures on CD,with up to 10 changes,  aimed at creating a diverse portfolio. R2 500

Edited model portfolio. Same shoot as above, but with a selection of 20 pics carefully edited for magazine quality prints.
 R3 500.

Make-up, hair and styling available at request.
